Playing with the June Write Kit

It's almost time for the next kit to come out so I have been playing with some of the items in it .

I was amazed doing this layout as the paper was so busy it didn't need much else the Journal card from My Minds Eye is perfect for this paper.

I really love these childish blue rub ons from K & Co and the Chippie alphabet below is so versatile.

The Write Kit Is Out Today

We are so pleased to be able to say that the first Write Kit has very nearly almost sold out and it only lunches today! Here is a picture of the first Kit called Wordsworth.

Below are a few layouts I have done using the products from the Kit.

This layout uses the Citrus range by Stemma and the new Lemon Lime Just the edge strips from Bazzill - Lime Green is definately my favourite colour at the moment.

This is Archangel paper from Basic Grey's Romani Collection, another of my favourites.

This layout of my sister uses Melissa Frances Papers, Bazzill Blossoms and of course Stickles to add more bling.

This one is my favourite it brings back such happy memories of our life in Sydney. I used the new Bazzill embossed cardstock with some chalk to highlight the swirls, Papers by Magenta and Autumn Leaves and a gorgeous strip of Acrylic flowers from Buzz and Bloom. I Painted my seedlings journal block with metallic acrylic paint and used the pink gel pen to write on it. It didn't photograph well and looks much better in real life ! The flower is full of glitter.

Busy Days

It has been a while since I posted here but I have been busy latley and done quite a few layouts. Mostly of my gorgeous little man.

These two are of a walk we went on up Haughmond Hill, it was a gorgeous day and Billy managed to walk all the way without the buggy or needing a 'carry'

I did this one at a crop in Solihull, I wasn't sure the pictures would go with the paper but I think it turned out ok in the end.

And this last on was made using the products from our first Write Kit - Wordsworth. This kit will be avaliable from April 1st

March Workshop - The Pail

Finally I have finished the pail which we will be doing in the workshop on March 7th. This is great fun to make and uses some great techniques for making flowers which can also be applied to scrapbook layouts. The pail is ideal storage for blossoms, ribbons etc or simply as a gift for mothers day filled with something delicious.

Book your place on this class here.

Skrapztacular Guest Designer Revealed

We are pleased to announce that Morag Cutts will be our Guest Designer at Skrapztacular this year. You may have seen her work in scrapbook Inspirations recently. Morag will be teaching two classes at our May Retreat to be held in Shropshire in May 2009. See here for further details. Class information will be released nearer the day.

I live in the West Midlands with my husband and 2 very lively children! I recently left a career in IT to spend more time at home with the family.

After discovering scrapbooking purely by chance almost 4 years ago I knew that this hobby had me hooked! 4 years later, I still feel as passionate and excited as I did that very first day. I love to help and encourage new people to catch the bug.

I am fortunate to be on the design team for several companies both here in the UK and in the US. I have been a frequent contributor to Scrapbook Inspirations, Papercraft Inspirations and You Can Create! magazines.

I am so thrilled to be hosting two classes at Skrapztacular this year. We’ll be doing a little bit of this and that to create a stunning project that’s packed with charm. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, you’ll certainly have some fun along the way and hopefully some surprises too!
